I think Felix the cat was the first to have have his mouth on the side of his cheeks before Sonic did. A long time ago I saw a 3D animation of Felix the cat and when he turned his head the mouth switch sides. I was like omfg. Cause sonic didn't do that yet.

Don't forget ''seconds'' my favorite. Animating is hard as making comics. Animation just takes a bit more (finding voice actors etc) maybe you can get into animations. It's not that far up your ally especially since you made a bunch of comics. Maybe bring back some. Only difference is you get a more free space and just add extra art between movements if that makes since. Idk, making comic is hard and I think if you make comics you can do animations.
